Portable Card Reader

Our portable card reader is the ideal way to accept card payments within your premises with a range of up to 100 metres from the Bluetooth base unit or WiFi router (depending on model). This pocket sized device is ideal for a pay-at-table environment.

The portable card reader can process all major credit and debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express and can also accept contactless payments – the fast, easy and secure way for your customers to pay. The card reader is easy to install – follow the simple instructions to start accepting card payments within minutes.

As part of the set-up process UTP will create a merchant account for you with Barclaycard Payment Acceptance.  The portable card reader will be pre-configured with details of your merchant account.  Credit card transactions processed through your merchant account will typically be paid into your chosen bank account within two to three working days.
